The Villa Borghese Gardens
Green, green, green: nestled among the wonders of ancient Rome and mundane cafes and boutiques of the shopping avenues of Via Veneto and Via del Corso, green is exactly what we need
The restful gardens of Villa Borghese display their great botanic and artistic charm in a “park of cultures” that offers exhibitions, events and shows in a unique setting of nature and architecture. The gardens include the Biopark, formerly known as the Rome zoo, where you can take an evocative stroll, enjoy a picnic, and visit many animal species... your children will love you for it!
For those who can't get enough of art and culture, the villa near Porta Pinciana hosts the Borghese Gallery, which contains an extraordinary collection of sculpture, bas-reliefs and ancient mosaics, in addition to paintings and sculptures of famous artists that span from the 15th to the 18th century.
